And this is when they are way past their best, Helen. He certainly has got green fingers. He changes the design every year, and everything settles fine in their new places.

I returned a plant pot to a friend today. This is his front garden, still looking good after all the wind and rain we have had these past few days. What a fabulous garden whippet. Must take a lot of work...

Great camouflage for this guy. Like the way he's peeking from behind the leaves. Good capture.

Agree with Karen, Pat. I like the way you have framed this.

I liked the way the light was illuminating this truck as it was filtering through the clouds today. And maybe Buckskin is making me think of trucks as an interesting subject.
Just looked outside and saw there is another truck to add to this post.

Just looked outside and saw there is another truck to add to this post. You must live in the crow's nest to be able to step out on the balcony and take shots like this. That guy in the bucket is way up there and you have captured him like satellite view. The red pickup is a 1968-1972 Chevrolet. I have always thought one of those bucket-trucks would be an asset to my photography equipment, enabling me to get above overgrown fence-rows and tall corn to get a clear shot. Also, one is much less apt to get run off when it is assumed they have legitimate reason for being there; one can park their little toodle-around car out of the way and get out with nothing but a camera and someone will come along and tell them that they must leave; whereas, you can completely block a street and set up with a bucket truck for most of the day and nobody will say a word.

Thinking that's true, Buckskin. It was interesting in that the truck was parked in the lot across the street most of the day. I wondered why he waited till it was getting dark to begin his work. I live on the 12th floor and it does give me some unique perspectives......plus you never know who or what will catch my attention.

His true work may have more to do with surveillance than electricity and telephone. I live on the 12th floor and it does give me some unique perspectives......plus you never know who or what will catch my attention. Is your floor the top floor, or are there more above you ? I have to drive a hundred miles to even see a building that has twelve floors. You do get shots that are very unique from your crow's nest perspective; I couldn't climb the tallest tree around here and get anything to compare.

Our building has 18 floors.....but like many high-rise buildings there is no 13th floor. Lots of truck/work activity continues so they are giving me lots of material to work with for my pictures for today. Will post later.
