Clive - Your photography continues to astound me. Your skill as well as your topics are a joy to view. Keep them coming. Birds have always been a favorite subject. You have captured great shots.
Actually, I’ve been enjoying everyone’s photos. This thread was such a good idea.

PSA the price of Coffee is going up due to supply chain, demand and weather issues. My first post here and used Sepianas Fotofranks Sketch action. Worked well I thought.

This is a bit, shall we say, outré. Thanks (?) to the wildfires in srmoment 's home province of BC, our Alberta skies are filled with smoke that act like an ND filter allowing photos of the sun, and in this case being able to see a sunspot. (Later in the evening you can look right at the sun.) I did this a few years ago when there were more sunspots and they were larger. So not the best, but quite fun stuff. And how do I know it's not a dust bunny? Because when I changed position of the camera relative to the sun the spot was always in the same place on the sun ... bunnies move relative to the repositioned sun. Indeed, there were a couple of sensor spots, but at f36, it's impossible to see zero faint spots. I took several photos with the sun in diff positions and found a sweet spot with no dusts spots.

I had wondered about that, cjt. I have never seen signs like those before. Not the UK?

cjt Please send your rain our way. We've had the same amount ... but in the past 10 weeks since MAY 1! Just 17 mm (well under one inch) in the past month. Bone dry here and hot.
