This challenge is similar to an earlier one on Glowing Edges where there is no specific tutorial to follow as long as you incorporate a specific filter, in this case Find Edges, in your creation. Find Edges is a much more commonly used filter and in fact I ran across this tutorial that starts out: The Find Edges is one of my favorite Photoshop filters for playing with an image. I tend to agree so play away ... A couple of suggestions - having applied Find Edges in a layer you can leave it coloured or desaturate it - desaturation is commonly used for sketch effects. The blend mode makes a big difference and adjusting levels is often needed to add contrast. Here are examples with the cherries: And here's a sketch effect where I used Find Edges, Desaturated, used Overlay blend mode and then duplicated that layer a couple more times Looking forward to seeing what you come up with finding edges. PS - Inverting a Find Edges layer can do interesting things too. Tony

Well this turned out to be fun. I can't tell you how many times I've taken a variation of this picture and have NEVER been able to edit it to my liking. To get the results below I started using a recipe in DXO CE 2 called Black/Gold. I layered this over the original edit at 74% Then Find Edges/Darken Blend Mode 79% Stamped Visible Filter Gallery > Poster Edges.....settings, 0,0,6 Since we were talking about using clipping masks in another thread today, I decided to add a clipping mask to the finished image. I like the way it sets off the final image.

The tones are beautiful and appear to soften the image and your final presentation of the image with the clipping mask is really lovely.

A well-chosen image, Sepiana. I especially like the purple/orange tones. Would love to see the original.

Never mind, Sepiana. I found it. It was the brushed rose texture that gave it that beautiful tone. I followed your "recipe" and came close but I like your results better.
