Now I've worked out how to do this manipulation it would work better with a more level FOV so I'm off out to take some pictures.

The manipulation is fairly simple to do now I've worked it out and I will show how I've done it but finding the right image is the difficult part, as you say Helen, the first one works.
I was out this afternoon taking some picture in the hope that at least one would work but sky's were awful so back to sifting though my endless collection for now.

I'm still looking for background/foreground images that can work best with this idea but in mean time I have done another of my 1st picture with some various PSE Enhance adjustments and can make all the different in the appearance.  |

Be careful there; did you mean round, or spherical? Flat-earthers believe the earth is a round disk, but not spherical! |

Think I know why the final touches are not quite there, I'll appreciate if anyone has a clear aeriel picture with low line of sky that I could pratice with, Helen, just a thought maybe one from your becony may also work would be appreciated.

I took a clip from one of my quadcopter videos, not best quality but now shows much more of what I want to achieve as I can now see the effectiveness of the image.  |

Think this last one is great, Jim. Will check my balcony shots but thought you might want to check this link to stock photos on the Goodies Board. You should be able to find just the image you are looking for. |
