Jerry is a member of the Topaz group on FB. She is a volunteer photographer for these sites. Her work has a unique style and stops me in my tracks as I scroll through the pictures that come through my feed. With her permission I have created a folder of some of my favorites to share with our members. I have removed the links and added some additional screenshots to the folder above. I will add another folder with some of my photos from a similar location if someone would like to try to replicate her technique.

These Historical Sites must be indebted indeed to this lady for her wonderful photographs portraying as they do the various aspects of what life was like back then for these communities. Thank you for sharing them Helen. I am going to take my time to go through them more slowly to really appreciate them.

Glad you enjoyed them, Lillias. I have some pictures from a similar museum that I visited a number of years ago. I may try to replicate her style.

So just for fun, I tried to replicate the look. I have a few photos that I think would work with her style and would be happy to share if anyone is interested. I used a combination of and HDR and Glamour Glow from Color Efex 4 by DXO. Here's my first try. I haven't watched this tutorial yet but do remember her saying she used a diffusion filter. She did her original work using Topaz Texture Effects 2 which is no longer available. I think she uses Studio now.

Thanks, Margaret. She is. I couldn't get over how many images were in the Google files she allowed me to share.

The subject matter really lends itself to this type of processing style, her images are so interesting. I also think that you did a wonderful job on your image Helen, thank you for sharing this technique.

Thanks Helen. Agree on the third one I posted, but t was sort of cool with no adjustments. I think we might be doing one or two things the same. Your cross stitcher is close. Here is what I did. - Made two copies of the original
- One (A) was "softened" with the clarity slider in ACR (even tho these were shot as jpgs.)
- The other (B) was "hardened" with the clarity slider
- A and B were opened
- With A (soft) on the bottom, B (hard) was placed over it
- The hard version blend mode was changed to "soften"
- The opacity of B was reduced to +/- 20%
More work required. Perhaps tonight. Or not.

I rarely know what I did.....always impressed with people that do. I just keep playing till I like the look or I throw in the towel. May try another one, too.
