I have been inspired by the two of you to experiment a bit myself. I opened this image from morguefile and duplicated it twice. In PSE on the first copy I applied the Distort>Ocean Ripple filter The second copy I took into Topaz Studio 2 and chose the Impasto look under the Impression filter. In PSE I then blended the two together using the Pin Light Blend Mode. Added a mat and frame and I was done. Park Bench Original

You are a great experimenter, Lillias. I like the painterly look you have created and not sure I have ever used the Pin Light blend mode. Nicely matted and framed as well.

Reworked an old image which I wasn't sure if I had already posted in one of our texture threads. Took a quick look through this one and the old one and couldn't find it so here's my new version. Trying for that "country" look by a digital artist who's name I can't remember! Might have overdone it! Original edit....

Jamie Heiden was the name that popped into my head when I saw the image, Helen. Great job! I have a small framed image from her in my office. I love her work!!!

I missed this one in January. Beautiful treatment, Helen. I really like the slightly de-saturated tones, composition, vintage pieces, background, and the peaceful ambiance it exudes. (The dry fallen leaf is the cherry on top).

Helen how did you accomplish yours? Are ya ready? I duplicated the image. Basically extended the canvas and added more of the sky; then used free transform to stretch the houses/trees over the new background. I think those houses just lent themselves to being stretched!

Thanks, Jim. I like to photograph spent flowers. Roses dry nicely.....you have some beauties.....give it a try. I have a really hard time trying to arrange the placement of items when trying to do a still life. I know they need to have some kind of a connection and that odd numbers work best but it's hard to make it look natural and not contrived.

blackmutt, I worked from the bottom image which already had a texture....but I don't know what texture I used....might have been done in On1. I like the Photomorphis subtle textures.
