Not the most picturesque section of the Thames Path as it flows through an industrial area in Woolwich, east London, but these two conveyor belts provide me with just the diagonal I have been seeking for this week's theme. i.ibb.co/xqM7R8k/D.jpgBrenda

Perhaps I have cheated a bit by including The New River in this week's theme. It is neither new nor a river, but a seventeenth century aqueduct constructed to bring drinking water from Hertfordshire into central London. It is still used today as a source of drinking water as well as providing a new 25 mile long-distance footpath - a new project for myself and son Matthew, as we are hoping to complete the walk from London to Hertford this year. i.ibb.co/nkLF3Gm/New.jpgBrenda

This OLD clock was presented to the Croydon Bowling Club by the Royal Air Force, as a gesture of thanks for making use of the Club premises for storage purposes during the Second World War. i.ibb.co/4MvHhNB/CBC2.jpgDennis

The Oslo tree in Trafalgar Square is an annual gift to London from the people of Norway for Britain's help during the Second World War. It is always lit with simple white lights. i.ibb.co/g3B2Xcf/TT.jpgIn Hamleys famous toy shop the artificial tree is colourful and richly decorated to please the little ones. i.ibb.co/M7pg64b/ATree.jpgTwo different takes on what Christmas means to us all. Merry Christmas! Matthew

My phone is caught RED-handed in this useful little RED gadget. It stops me losing track of it, as I am very forgetful. i.ibb.co/xSGqT9N/Red.jpgBrenda

I thought that it would be easy to use tree bark to "fill the frame". I was shocked at how challenging it turned out to be. Finally settled on bringing in some foliage and odd branches to break up the uniformity of the tree bark and make the subject more satisfying to the eye. i.ibb.co/xCvtsBM/TB.jpgBrenda
