Hello Photoshop Elements & More members,
We really want your input!
Our forum has been around for just about six months, and in that time we have grown to over 500 members! We want to thank everyone who has supported us. More importantly, we are looking for your help in improving what our forum has to offer. If you are a regular visitor, we would love to hear what we can do to make our forum better. If you aren’t a regular visitor - please let us know what we could offer that would make you visit more often.
Forums need both membership and content to be successful, and we would like to know what we can do better in regards to both.
We’ve opened up this thread for your feedback. Please take a few minutes to post your ideas. We will review everyone’s input and based on the suggestions provided we will decide what changes we should make.
Thank you in advance for getting involved and sharing your creative ideas for making this a forum you will regularly participate on.
Your Photoshop Elements & More Admins

I feel a tad guilty, because after the crash of my Hard Drive and subsequent shift to Adobe's Photography subscription. I find myself struggling more with PS and have hardly dabbled with Elements of late. Can't contribute ideas here just yet, but I do and will continue to visit as often as life permits. Thanks for all your efforts on behalf of the 500 Great Unwashed who depend on your presence. Ron

Wow the forum is six months old already. That's amazing. You folks have done such a good job already with this forum that I'm not sure I have any suggestions to make it better. Anyway for what it's worth here are my comments.
I'm more of a 'scrapper' than a 'photographer' but I can and do enjoy trying to do different things with photographs and the 'Endless Possibilities' Challenge Threads are a favourite of mine. For example in the 'Lets Take a Stroll' challenge because Tom asked a question in relation to my submission I learned a bit about composition, light, perspective, blurring/feathering the edges of a cut-out to make it blend in more to new surroundings etc; That's the kind of thing I like and need to learn and I like to try to do things with the tools already provided within the PSE programme. Some of the add-ons or plugins that I see mentioned from time to time are quite expensive and as I said I'm not really a photographer so can't justify spending a lot on those.
We have a Board for Digital Scrapbooking and it would be nice to see if more use could be made of that but I don't know how folks would feel about that!
Hopefully others will come along with their comments or ideas but that's all I can think of at the moment.

I love this forum and so pleased it has taken off so well, haivng been such a worry when Elements Village had to close. I feel this forum has re-created the atmosphere that we experienced in EV which seemed to be very much at the top of the priority list. Having said that, the one thing I would like changed, although I'm not sure it can be as it's been mentioned before, is that in the Individuals Gallerys the newest post could be at the top, rather than at the bottom. The reason being is that these photos seem to have to be downloaded in order to get to the last post and that means, on my machine at least, the screen whizzing up and down, flashing images before settling on the latest one. It occurs to me that it would be good to be able to just go to the top image to find the newest. Hope I've explained that so that you can understand Julie

I think the forum is in great hands with the stewards, admins and moderators who are leading the way forward. I think it is progressing naturally in a very positive fashion and really can't think of anything that is needed to further its development. I am pleased to be a member of such a resource rich community and look forward to getting more active in it again as soon as I can. At the moment I have been quite busy with getting my home ready to be put up for sell and I can tell you it is never a dull moment with getting things ready - I feel like I would fit right in on 'The Walking Dead' and wouldn't even have to act!

The state of the forum is good. KUDOS to all administrators.
The only issue I have is with the galleries. Its cumbersome to scroll thru the old ones to get to the latest post so is it possible to have the latest post displayed first? Would eliminate the need for me to delete my older posts as often.
Thanks

This site is as helpful as the old site and the moderators do a wonderful job! Thank you! ...having said that, I have two items: -when my computer crashed and I had to have it set up from scratch, I lost my bookmarks on Chrome, including this site. When I did a search using "photoshop elements" or some combination of those words, this site did not show up on my search results (...at least on the first or second page). I ended up going back to the old elements site which showed the name of this site and I was able to find PS&E again. It is now safely nestled in among my bookmarks! ....my point is that I knew this site existed, but for someone who had no knowledge and who had an editing question, they would not have been directed here. -I really miss the old gallery in the old elements where the photos were thumbnails and you could see quite a few at once on a page. [having said that, I just LOVE how you can bring in a better quality image than the old site.....so maybe it's a tradeoff]

This isn't a criticism - the nature of this site is why I'm not as active as I could be . The site skews more about photography - and photo manipulation - than what I'm into.
I'm more into digital scrapbooking than photography. I use PSE to design multi-layered projects.
The challenges where you manipulate a photo are interesting, but it's not my thing because I'm not proficient at creating something interesting from a photo.
I'm also not that interested in improving my photos. If I can't improve a photo with a few easy steps - enough to use it on a layout - I abandon the photo.
My photography is limited to P&S. I am usually satisfied with how the photo comes out of the camera and that's how I use it.
So, although I log on a half dozen times a day to see what others are doing, you may not feel my presence unless there is a technical photoshop question I can answer or unless the digital scrapbooking section gets active.
It's not a criticism - because this site works so well as it's designed to work. And the people running it - WOW - you guys are great. I don't think it needs any improving.

The moderators and administrators have done a fantastic job putting this forum together after EV closed. I appreciate the hard work, dedication, and many hours it must take to keep it going. Everyone is so friendly, helpful, and supportive. Right now, I can't recommend any changes. As the forum grows, there might be some tweaks in the future. Keep up the good work.

I was worried when the village disappeared but am very happy with the new home. I like others would like the gallery to show the most recent photo first. Great job moderators!!

I really enjoy the site, and would like to add my thanks to everyone that does such an excellent job supporting, managing and developing it. My one regret about it (not a criticism) is that the challenges seem to rattle around so very quickly, typically in a week. Whilst I see the value in keeping people's interest up and providing reasons to keep returning to the site, I just do not get the time to enter anywhere like as often as I would like. I am a rather more active participant on another site, which is similar in terms of numbers of members and a very friendly and supportive environment, and their comps tend to run over 3 weeks to give people time (many of whom only have weekends at their disposal) to have a think and a play before entering. That said, they don't get any more entries than here, so I guess there is no reason to change as most on here seem able to support. I will continue to join in when I can, and I do check in most days. Here's to another successful 6 months.

I'm happy with the moderation and participation, thank you! I'd like to see the "new posts" link point only to the questions, answers and other content (there's already a link for latest gallery posts).

On the whole, I'm happy with the site, although I do agree with the comments regarding the order in which new gallery posts appear. I would like to thank the moderators for their work in maintaining a successful and useful site, and the other participants for being so unfailingly helpful and supportive. I seem to learn something every time I visit! Angela

I would like to add my thanks and appreciation to all the administrators of this wonderful forum. Also thanks to the many other members out there who step up and share their knowledge to solve a problem or provide step by step instructions on how to achieve a certain effect. What a steep learning curve we've conquered in just 6 months! I would also like to see the latest photos in one's gallery displayed at the top, but I believe from a previous request that it's not do-able? The challenges are always open, from what I understand, it's just that the theme changes on a weekly basis, is that correct? Maybe a fortnight change in themes would give people more time to play. I love the positive vibe of this forum and hope the next 6 months will be even better. Jacki.

Seems pretty damn good to me, even though I have now got cc/lr/ps I still visit and skim new posts and continue to learn stuff from it.
Everyone concerned with setting up this new site has done a great job.
On the point about less frequent challenges is one option to make links they contain valid for longer - have to say I haven't done any recently so I may be wrong on this but I recall once trying to do an old challenge of some kind and the link to the initial image no longer worked.
Anyway as long as people can still have a go at the challenges when they are ready to, then frequency shouldn't matter
