Moto - I think you've found a new calling. Your orbs are getting better and better.

I am sure this is not an orb. I did it some time ago in PE2. Don't think I will be able to follow the tutorial on my old version. All of your pictures are fantastic.

Its becoming addictive........ Clematis orb, I followed the technique and then played with artistic filters, I think this one was ink outlines, and added a bevel

I know I keep saying this, but it's so true. Everyone's orbs are so different, but each is so beautiful. There is no limit to how one can play with this technique so once you start adding effects and styles - you will never break away. Excellent work everyone.

Every orb needs a stand
To make the "stand" - increase your canvas size - image> resize> canvas size - fill with the background color Duplicate your finished orb - flip it horizontally and/or vertically - image> rotate> flip layerControl/Command T to open the transform tool -- choose "skew" - pull down on the corners to "flatten" Move into place. EDITWhile working with this, I realize there is a little hitch to make the stand and orb look like they are together. You will have to erase the top edge of the stand where it meets the orb. Get a soft round brush and follow the contours of the orb layer. You could use a layer mask, but since it's an easy enough erase, it's not necessary. Plus, you may not necessarily need to increase the size of your canvas.

Excellent extension Janice! I put my orb and stand on separate layers so I just had to rearrange the layers to get the effect. I added a gradient to the stand to make the orbs "shadow".

That looks good, Tom.
I had separate layers, too, but since I didn't have the orb cut out of the background, it didn't work to put the stand layer beneath the orb layer. I'll go try again, but I don't want to bother cutting the orb from the background and I'm not sure I can make placing the stand layer under the orb layer work without selecting.
