Converted and Tweaked in Topaz ReStyle
I took this shot in 1959 on the roof of Notre Dame in Paris when tourists were still allowed on the roof, and we had to wait round for about half an hour until there were 5 or 6 people interested to take the supervised tour. Once upon a time travelling was FUN!

I have had another go at taking a look at some photos from earlier this year and found this photo, which was taken in Waterton National Park in Alberta, Canada. The before photo is straight out of the camera (I shoot RAW), so would have needed to be processed one way or another. Instead of going my usual route in LR I decided to try this in B&W instead. I started off with an LR B&W preset, but decided it needed more work, so I increased the clarity in various areas by using the radial filter on an inverse setting, darkened some other areas (predominantely in the sky and the back of the lake) and cloned out some rocks that were taking up more attention than they needed.

I'm off to Vancouver and Alaska in 5 weeks time for a bit of a holiday. I'm really looking forward to trying to capture some beautiful images like that while I am there

The Duomo in Milano, Italy Original is Jpeg from 2005, several years before I bought my first Canon DSLR, so processing was a bit less than I might have liked, but I feel that I still got a decent result. Conversion in LR.

Helen, thanks for the link. I had this at one time, but it went away during a computer replacement. I had to pay the last time, so this is a much better deal.

Soup up your Nik Collection!
