A very cooperative pigeon to decide to perch in front of that beautiful background.

July 24 Our son and family have a lot at the summer place. The family could not come this weekend, but our grandson came down with two friends and went boating this afternoon. He is behind the glare of the windshield driving ... somewhere. I cooked a nice pork roast in the IR oven and the three boys joined us for dinner. Was a treat to have the three lads, all polite as can be. Not many leftovers! All good. The lower photo of the smoke was taken this evening but I added a photo taken in May at about the same place.

Took this quick snap from the driver's seat when returning home this afternoon. It has been a Monmouth Beach landmark since the early 1900's. The inside is quite impressive. Two of our grandsons are lifeguards there.

Going through an old album that was my mother's. While I recognize some of the people, and others she had written info on, there are many pictures that I have no idea as to who they are. Most are just snapshots. But then there are these that look like they were professionally taken.......I call them mystery children.

Totally agree with Lillias, wonderful images to have, hopefully one day you will find out who they were.

Thanks Lillias and Jacki. Sadly the photos of the family members I recognize are mostly little snapshots.

Wednesday, July 28. Taken this morning about 6am. Because I waited, I failed to capture all the fog that was present.

Garlic harvest time - here are a few hanging up to dry and cure - did once try braiding them but these are hardneck garlic over-wintered here and it doesn't work. Tony

I'll stop with the pictures of pictures now. Again, I have no idea who this is....but it was taken on the porch of the house I lived in up until I was about 9. We lived with my grandfather. When he died we had to move. I assume this picture was taken when my mother was growing up and must have been a family relative.
