Howard - what a capture. That guy has attitude. That's exactly what I thought! I was only 2m away and he/she was completely unconcerned. Thanks for the nice feedback too.

Well, that's news to me. Never heard of the Australian brushturkey so had to look it up. Cool looking bird. Thanks.

Visiting in Wisconsin i.ibb.co/WkMfhzG/IMG-1201.jpgWe went looking for colors at the Richard Bong State Recreation Area in SE Wisconsin Along the Nature Walk, the benches have these tags. Thought you might find it interesting? cjt

Thanks, tourerjim. He is a rescue dog that my daughter recently took in for someone who could no longer take care of but was much loved. Just the sweetest dog. She also has a dog, a cat and a rabbit. It took Gunner and the cat awhile to adjust to each other but she recently shared this on FB.

Nothing like a bit of mutual grooming to seal the friendship.

An eclectic day. A blue jay in our backyard this morning and a small rattlesnake in the river valley this afternoon.

Wonderful up close and personal photos Clive. Thanks Lillias. I've set peanuts under a linden tree and hopefully will be able photograph a pretty blue jay with a warm, autumn background. Shall see. Thanks Howard. The DOF with the 600-mm lens is narrow for sure. This is a small snake with a head not larger than my index finger.
