Oh....I remember your lotus pictures from last year.....went looking for them near where I live as a result. Not sure if we'll go again this year so may just have to enjoy yours. Interesting to see the new bloom.

Another cloudy day here but it didn't keep a few people from hitting the beach. Only had my phone and the quality of the picture was poor so went for an Impressionist look using Topaz. A friend suggested that I flip this image, so I am adding the flipped version.........I think it was a good suggestion......thoughts?

Macro day. Dug out my 30-year-old, Minolta, 100-mm macro lens. A bug on a daisy and an asymmetrical, symmetrical gaillardia .. for tonyw It is symmetrical and at the same time is not symmetrical. Make sense? Too damn hot and there are no honey bees in the garden to photograph. Will go for a walk after dinner.

Helen Thanks. If there is absolutely nothing to photograph ... you can always find something indoors or outside to take close-up pictures. I rarely use that old lens. It's a good chunk of glass. Have to use an adapter and it is only MF although the metering system still works. Clive

Got out this morning before "Death Valley" mode kicks in ... cooling down finally with today's high only 30°C. Honeybee hovering around milkweed flowers. Across the road this morning.

Chilly and rainy here today so something completely different for me. Went down a road I had never been on before and spotted this horse. Then took a walk in the woods just after the rain.

A day for relaxing in the garden (Clive's hot weather arrives here tomorrow). This hibiscus has survived two winters indoors where it became bug infested, lost all its leaves and looked ready for the compost bin. Stuck it outside this spring and it came back to life. Tony

Was in town today to work at the art gallery and had some time before I opened the place up so as I walked through town I snapped this. This little waterfall took out a main road and a building during Hurricane Irene 10 or so years ago. I flows under a major north/south road and quickly became a torrent. i.ibb.co/KqK8Rhc/DSC-1245.jpg

Sure enjoying these photos - the varied subject matter just makes it more fun. And, of course, the quality of the photography is amazing.

Never did get a macro lens.....nice close-ups, Clive. Recently I added a macro lens attachment (Apexel) to my iPhone .... here's my first trial using it ... need to work on focusing when using extreme close up

Oh, I'd be "snapping" that a lot, blackmutt. Sounds easily accessible for a photograph.
