For me anyway. I am not complaining, just curious. I have so far noticed three differences in how this site behaves tonight. 1. When I mouse over the little white bar above, where it says "Photoshop Elements & More", the site menu no longer drops down and expands; I now must manually scroll to the section I desire and then proceed to the individual threads. This is no biggie, as very few sites I frequent even have that capability; I am just curious as to why it quit. 2. There used to be a floating "page numbers" thingie that sort of floated along as I scrolled down the page, thus when I got to the page bottom, I did not have to return all the way to the top to see if there were more pages and also to click for the next page; tonight, that thingie is gone. Also no biggie; however, this is the only site I frequent with such a set-up; most are like the old EV, with the page numbers both at the top and bottom of each page. 3. And this is actually a BIG improvement: When I replied with a quote, instead of me having to do my typing/editing on what looks like an actual "post", when I clicked "quote", it took me to an actual "rough draft" type page that is actually a lot easier to accomplish creating and editing a post. I like that and hope it stays that way. Are these changes site-wide; or, are they the result of something going on on my end ? Thanks for reading On EDIT: Just noticed --- the "like" button also quit working; click it and click it and click it and nothing happens.

The site is working as it usually does for me, floating page nos at the top of the screen, etc - with the exception of NO ADS! Although the ads didn't bother me at all - I didn't find them intrusive - it is lovely not to have them - thanks from me too.

I haven't noticed any changes either. Have you by any chance changed your browser?
When we speak about forum behavior.. I find that when I highlight the text I'm reading there's a kind of pop up that allows me to quick quote the text. Is it possible to turn that of? I find that very annoying, because the highlighting helps me concentrate (reading a foreign language), and on a Mac I can translate the highlighted word. The pop up prevents me from doing that, and I have to use Google translate instead.

I just also noticed that the little thread-tools "gear" icon has disappeared and I no longer have the ability to delete a post. I can edit a post but there is no option to delete a post; as many blunders as I sometimes make, the ability to delete a post is often handy. I do like the fact that now, when I click "edit", it also takes me to the "rough draft" of the post where edits are so much easier made --- that is definitely a plus.

Goodness, Madame, you handle the American language so well that I never dreamed you were having to translate.
For what it's worth, I haven't changed anything such as OS on my end and all other sites are behaving same as they always have.

Buckskin,
All seems to be working as usual for me as well.....but like ChrisAnn the ads are now missing. They never bothered me either as I also ignore them. I'm using Chrome. Perhaps one of the Admins. will have an answer/suggestion for you.

It's just some words and slang that are not in my vocabulary I need to look up.

We haven't made changes on the forum that I am aware of, and everything seems to be working normally for me. You might want to try another browser and see if you get the same behavior to help isolate where the problem is.

We did enable this feature a few weeks back. This is the first I've heard of a conflict with anything. I wish there was a way to selectively turn it off for individuals but there isn't, so it is either on or off for everyone.

The way I see this issue is that as it wasn't mentioned previously, I suspect no one felt they needed this feature and therefore, would they miss it if it was disabled again Hopefully, others who have perhaps used this function will comment here, in which case maybe it will give some indication as to it's use since being made available. I've always clicked on Quote and then deleted any parts I didn't feel were necessary for my purposes /post. It clearly has a significant impact on Marianne and I, for one, would be happy to lose the feature in favour of the benefit to Marianne Just my penny's worth ...

No change in the forum for me - using Firefox.
As for the ads, for me, sometimes they appear and sometimes they don't. I haven't been able to discern a pattern, but it's certainly nothing we've done to eliminate them.

BuckSkin, it sounds as if some content is blocked by your browser. If you are using IE 11 look at the top of your page. Next to the Address Field is a small circle with a bar through it. If it is blue, hover your cursor over it and click "Unblock Content". It should then turn grey and your page should be back to normal.
This morning I don't have any ads either.
