Well, I had to give white subjects another go. Three tundra swans. The swans are not pure white as they are likely immatures born in the spring ... this was in November.

Seeing Clive's geese reminded me of this one - three swans a fishing. Honest Tony, I worked on these swans' before I saw your post. Great minds. White can be tricky.

Seeing Clive's geese reminded me of this one - three swans a fishing. They are very much merged as one had just caught a fish and the other two were hoping for a bite. Tony, forget merging...this is great! I love how their necks are curved pretty much the same...all in a row. Beautifully cropped, too! You got rid of the extraneous 'stuff'!

Clive, you're right. White can be tricky, but when it's done well, it can be very rewarding! Both you and Tony processed your white birds beautifully.

Dan, I absolutely love old cars and these are definitely old! You were lucky to find these all lined up waiting to be photographed. Your conversion to sepia is exactly what's called for by the subjects. Excellent post for this challenge.

Keeping three doctors away. Great title, Jim! Beautifully processed shot of these three apples (1 red and 2 golden delicious?). Did you use a cyanotype process to convert it? Whatever you did, it's a beauty!

I don't remember exactly the steps I used - basically a gradient map adjustment layer for B & W conversion and then a solid blue gradient to get the slightly blue tint. The apples were Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, and Granny Smith (green). Here is my original image:

These 3 red roses made a nice BW with a selenium & gold toner Peter, this is great! Not only does the image have 3 roses, but they are arranged in a triangle, another '3'--extra points, LOL!!! Love your processing. They look metallic. Very pretty.

Three bighorn sheep. An adult ewe in the middle (back), a yearling on the left and a spring lamb on the right.

Clyde, these bighorn sheep are totally adorable (I'm sure that's only true because you didn't invade their territory!). Great for this challenge. A new image taken for this challenge..... Helen, wonderful image for this challenge. It can't have been easy to capture the metallic texture of the vases. Nicely done!

You started with a great image before converting--exactly what we should all do! So...I was 2/3 correct about the apples, lol...my preference for eating would be the golden delicious!
