Down at the beach (Lake Huron) on a warm day - the ice mounds are from winter storms although most of the lake is unfrozen. Couldn't resist this shot of a lone walker - might be a good one for the Adamski Effect Tony

An unusually warm sunny day for a walk round the lake that still has a crust of ice on it. Was very apparent that spring was in the air for the Canada Geese and it was entertaining to watch them pairing up and defending the territories they'd picked out. Here's a pair I was quite close to - they weren't interested in me or the camera but the male was being very defensive towards a pair that were flying overhead and exchanging honks! Tony

Just to add that Adamski leaves in shadows - at least in this one: 3 MenTony

A question on technique for this effect... If the subject casts a shadow on the background, should the shadow be retained as part of the subject or burred with the background? I'm not sure which would look "right". Any thoughts? Thanks. I have seen some videos using the effect that suggest using a mask to paint back some of the original area where the subject makes contact with the ground to avoid a disconnected look. I have been doing that and it does help I think to make for a more natural look in some cases. Tony

One more beach scene - original from Unsplash - sky replacement from ON1. Used path blur and added some extra blur using the new lens blur in PS Camera Raw. Tony

Tried a variant on the blurring using path blur in PS to add some waviness - original image cropped from Unsplash Tony

Thought I'd try it on a train from files - had a bit of trouble in the middle due to my not being careful enough with the selection but I fudged it so my mistake is a bit less visible! Nice and simple effect with lots of possibilities thanks Tom for finding. Here's my after and before: Tony

One more - this one didn't take a lot of converting to black and white because that's its basic colour! A royal albatross - one of the largest seabirds - 4 ft long and a 10 ft wingspan. Shot was taken at the Royal Albatross Centre in New Zealand. Tony

One more - a very unexpected find on a morning walk. There's a small cabin along the walk and decided to shelter in it from a flurry of snow and cold wind - and found the seating already occupied! Tony

Good subject - nothing flying here at the moment but here's a gull from the archives: I'm sure I'll find more later. Tony
