Michel perhaps i am that one member who does not use pse regularly. In fact i no longer have it. I started with pse 4 and now have cs5. But I so enjoy my extended family that the program i am using is not going to keep me from enjoying the company of good people and learning a thing or two. There are many areas i can still can participate in such as the challenges. I will have two forums to enjoy and a facebook group this makes me happy. There are many excellent reasons not to use PSE regularly, but that's by far the friendliest reason for staying and playing with us . Ladybug: you are not alone. WE are FAMILY! I like the 'like' button. I have kept updating Element because I like the Premiere for video editing. The Village no longer has a section for Premiere, but I always go to muvipix dot com if I need help. I don't use the organizer since I started using Lightroom. That said, I purchased version 13 to put on a little laptop that I use for traveling. It can't support the big guys. I want to download the day's images into some software to work on my RAW files that day. I even renewed my membership to PET! The real reason I keep coming back to the Village is the same as Ladybugs. I have friends here from all over the world!

Yes, that did it, thanks. My fat typing fingers must have hit the caps lock when I did the save. What an odd thing to have embedded in Elements. Well, odd to me anyway.... This has happened to all of us at one time or another. I found out what I did wrong by asking a question on the forum! Everyone is so happy to answer questions about any little thing that bugs you. I don't think it is an Elements oddity.... more like an Adobe 'feature' since it happens in PhotoShop as well.

I didn't like the little pink icon in my Avatar, so found out how to disable it.
Go to: Edit Profile & Settings use the Personal tab to edit your gender.
Then the icon will not show.

I have a question about the section that allows a person to buy a gift. Is this something that needs to be blocked? Where does the icon for the 'gift' end up? Under the person's avatar? In their signature block? I can't figure out the purpose of gifts. Can I insert a smiley face when in edit mode only?

I had no problem registering. The confirming emails were fast with a link to click to finish registering. No problem navigating. I clicked on the gift link and an ad for ProBoards+ ad-free to purchase for $2.99 appeared. The gifts cost money. Clicked on the cookie and found it cost $1. These, I imagine, would collect like badges on the person's post. There was a freebie: "We're giving away 3 free water balloon forum badges if you like ProBoards on Facebook! " Oh, yes, I have a little pink female icon near my profile picture on posts. Found out you can disable the pink gender icon. Had to change my avatar and just clicking around on my profile section of my post led me to my user name which was a link to the section for changing the avatar. I wish everything could be in one place for your profile. Es
