Good job Bayla. It certainly does have that mysterious look about it.

Well folks it's Wednesday again and time for another EP Challenge. morquefile supplied this picture for us this week. We got some very interesting results last week with the lighthouse. I'm sorry the quality of that picture wasn't very good. So I made sure this one is better. Have fun with it, and let your creative juices flow.

Well I finally got some time this morning to work on this challenge. I started in LR with basic adjustments & crop to panorama, and ended up in PSE 10. I started with a sepia tone, then a couple paint layers with a cloud brushes. One layer I painted black, the other white. Then I played with different blend modes, and different sizes of brush. Finished with a black stroke with a bevel added to it.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. Sepiana thanks for the link you supplied, but I didn't have a clue what they were taking about. I don't know how to do any of that stuff. Unfortunately I can't install anything either. I have been busy with other projects so I haven't taken the time to do a clean install. Thanks again.

Well as I figured, you all have risen to the challenge with some spectacular results. Jancy- you sure did get an old photo effect. Marianne- I love the reflection of the sky on the water. Rita- Nice painterly effect you used on yours. Sepiana- Great idea to use a triptych frame on your submission. J- Who would of thought to use this as a lighthouse. lol! Great job everyone. Hope to see some more.

Excellent job Bayla. I like how you animated the lighthouse. And the fog helps to hide some of the noise that was in the picture. Good job! I know the starter image wasn't the greatest. But I posted it to give everyone a real challenge this week.

I see it's Thursday, and it's time for another EP Challenge. This week morguefile found me this picture of a lighthouse. It looks like it can use some TLC. Have fun with it, and lets see what the creative people here at PSE&M can come up with.

Thanks Tom for this weeks CF Challenge. I followed the tutorial, and didn't make any changes. Good job everyone. They all look great. Mine is from a tractor pull.

Hi everyone, I seen something today that I thought a few people might be interested in. Since I do a little woodworking, I follow this person on YouTube. It is a DIY project that if you are handy, or know someone that is, can make in a couple of hours. And it would add a lot of versatility to your still photography. Here is the link, so sit back and enjoy the video.link

Thanks Tom for posting the challenge this week. Here is mine named (One bad egg will ruin the bunch) I started out in Lightroom and played around with the color. Then I went into Lens Correction and gave it a Fisheye look, and played with the Horizontal, and Vertical sliders until I got what you see. Then I opened it up in PSE and did a little more editing. Finished it off with a onOne Texture, and Frame.
Thanks for playing along this week Mike! The bad egg is certainly believable, I get a sickly feeling from it. I like the scratchy texture and the frame; are they built-in to PPS? If so, where are they found? When I use PPS from Elements I can't find those sorts of effects. Thanks Tom for commenting. The Texture & Frame is from onOne Photo Essentials 3.0.3 It was a free program that the PET was giving away when you joined.
