Is your monitor calibrated? Editing on an uncalibrated monitor can give you the results you describe. If you have not done this I would start there.

Have you tried opening it directly....that is not importing it? Go to file> open in camera raw in PSE. See if it looks good that way.

Is the select color range function in 14 and if not is there another way to accomplish this?
Thanks.

I have had this as well. The quick and dirty fix....pick another tool, make any size change using the brackets, go back to the tool that froze and it then will work.

I had to run installers for the add ons to make them work. Had to reinstall all of the brushes I had added previously as well.

I just changed from 12 to 14. In answer to your question, no, 14 looks and acts pretty much like 12. So you should be able to move right in. The de-haze feature is nice and they made some improvements in the refine selection function that I like.
The stuff like the organizer, Facebook, email, guided edits....I can't speak to as I never use them.
If you can get 14 for $40......I'd do that in a New York minute.

I guess I'm having a hard time understanding why this would any issue at all. The mouse has nothing to do with it. You simply press shift with your left and press brackets with your right. Quite simple.

Independence Day is coming soon. As Teddy Roosevelt once said, "Speak softly and carry a big stick". Well, here's the big stick.....
